Lately I’ve received a number of emails from new PLR-Content.com members along the lines of, “Wow, there’s a lot in PLR-Content.com… Where do I start? How do I make money with this?”
So I thought I should write a series to help answer those questions.
The first thing to realize is that there are basically two types of rights (Master Resale Rights or Private Label Rights) and four types of content (ebooks, articles, pre-made AdSense websites, and website header graphics) in your membership area.
Let’s start with a brief description of the rights for the ebooks today, and what you can do with them.
The terms “Master Resale Rights” and “Private Label Rights” can mean different things to different people and on different products, so always be sure to read the licenses with each product carefully. But at least for the main monthly ebooks in PLR-Content.com, this is what they basically mean:
Silver Members of PLR-Content.com get Master Resale Rights for the monthly ebooks. Read the Master Resale Rights license in any of the ebook packages for the full details, but essentially you can sell them or give them away as they are or you can brand them and sell them or give them away, no more than three or the ebooks in a package. You can also pass on Resale Rights or Master Resale Rights.
Gold Members of PLR-Content.com get all of the rights for the monthly ebooks that Silver Members get… plus Private Label Rights. Gold Members can edit the ebooks, break them apart for ezine articles or Web content, create new products from them, etc. Plus Gold Members can resell the Private Label Rights if you choose.
Private Label Rights add immense power because you can can make the products different from what anyone else has. Products with Master Resale Rights often are quickly devalued because many people try undercutting the price to make quick sales. By creating a new product that is different than what anyone else has you can avoid this. So think carefully when you choose what rights to pass on to your customers for your new product.
The two basic things you can do with the ebooks are that you can sell them or you can give them away.
Selling ebooks is a pretty obvious way to make money. Put a fair price on an ebook (or even a bargain price) and market it. Email your list, advertise the ebook, or put it on ClickBank or PayDotCom and get affiliates to help sell it.
With three new ebooks a month (and all of the ones already in your membership), you have quite a catalog already! Again, you can tremendously improve the resale value by upgrading to a Gold Membership (if you haven’t already) and taking advantage of the Private Label Rights to create your own new products from the ebooks.
Giving away ebooks is a less obvious way to make money. Generally the method is used to build your list. You’ve probably heard the expression, “the money is in the list.” This means your subscriber list for your newsletter or your customer list, and it’s quite true. Without a list, you are completely dependent on new visitors every time you want to market a new product. With a list, you always have people who are interested in what you are promoting and who want to hear about your next product.
A great way to get people to subscribe to your newsletter is to offer free gifts. Ebooks are perfect for this.
If you don’t currently have a subscriber list, then the most important advice I could ever give you is to start one now. The best way to do this is through an autoresponder service. There are a number of good ones, but AWeber is generally considered to be the best.
The advantage of an autoresponder service is that this is their entire specialty. You get the highest delivery rate possible and less risk if some of your subscribers forget that they subscribed and report your email as spam (yes, this actually happens!). I have used AWeber for years. They have the highest delivery rate and an extremely professional service.
