Google recently clarified their ad and image placement policy. Lining up thumbnail images and AdSense Ads is no longer acceptable. See this blog entry at Google for details:

The updated AdSense sites now have videos instead of thumbnail images, so as to comply with Google’s new policy. In addition, a small bug in the the templates has been fixed.
